With over 20 years’ experience in smart city technologies, IoT and urban data solutions, Alex founded Urban Data Collective in 2020 following successful terms at Intel, Ericsson and Digital Catapult. Over the years, Alex has been involved in leading European smart city initiatives and has led technical work and eco-system development activities. He is a member of the Open and Agile Smart Cities’ technical council and has a strong track record of expertise in the field.

Milan is an accomplished Engineering Lead with over 15 years of experience in leading and managing software development teams. With a passion for cutting-edge technologies, Milan has a proven track record of delivering innovative and high-quality software products. In his previous roles, Milan managed service teams that were responsible for real-time integration between various information systems for global information service players and marketing firms. He also scratched his entrepreneurial itch in previous startup adventures.

Nick Aldrich
Nick’s career spans over 18 years in fast-paced, dynamic sales environments where he has consistently achieved remarkable outcomes and maintained high customer service levels. The Cities in Charge SaaS platform is of particular interest to him as it combines his experience with STEM and love of everything on (or involving) four wheels. Nick’s passionate about the opportunity for Electric Vehicle Technology to make the world a better place and front-line, pioneering software to enhance the ability of users to master their EV Charging Networks.
Full-stack Developer
Ali Hejazi
Ali Hejazi is an experienced full-stack software engineer proficient in a range of technologies, from React and Angular to Node, Express, Salesforce, and AWS. Ali is not only passionate about developing new technologies but also about the impact they have on their user communities. In his previous role at Big Give, he was responsible for the re-designing of their website, creating bespoke web component libraries, building a custom onboarding dashboard for charity integration with Stripe, and Salesforce development, helping Big Give raise over £40 million annually for charities.

Urban Data Collective is building a community of like-minded people with the right tools to share urban data and derive benefits from using it. An ethical community that values fair access to urban data, in which those sharing data are not disadvantaged but are appropriately recognised for the benefits that can be generated; a community where those who can really benefit from access to urban are not starved of opportunities by overly restrictive policies.
